🧠 My Apple Watch is telling me I got 4.5hrs of sleep last night.

I’m therefore lying down in the sun on my balcony and not planning on moving any time soon.

🍻 An outdoor pint, in the sun, surrounded by dogs. I may be in heaven.

📸 The sun is streaming through our apartment’s windows and I am pretending it’s July and I’m in Spain.

📸 This day last year, I was sunbathing on our balcony in London. Absolutely no chance of that today!!

📸 I’m not 100% sure, but I think the City of London might have experienced the rapture yesterday evening.

(It being London, I don’t think anyone was in the least bit affected, and it’s business as usual this morning.)

So this morning, I managed to slice my neck while shaving.

Not ‘nick’, but slice.

I didn’t notice until I was drying off and left my (white) towel looking like a crime scene. I’m recording a video podcast later, and I’m wondering how I’m going to cover it up. It looks awful.

Anyway, happy Monday…. 🙄

Our apartment building is completely hemmed in by today’s London Marathon, so we’re staying in and watching it pass by from up here.

It’s an incredible experience. I’ve done it twice (and never again) but nothing matches the feeling of crossing the finishing line. Good luck to everyone competing.

We walked to a friend’s place for after-dinner drinks yesterday evening, and I caught this amazing view looking down the Thames towards the City of London.

A super chilled-out day so far.

I went for a 5km run this morning, had a nice lunch at home, did some piano practice and reading.

Now listening to this year’s Eurovision entries. Later, having local drinks with a couple of friends.

Tomorrow, we’ll be completely blocked in by the London Marathon. It goes right past our front door, so it’s a day for staying in, cleaning, eating and watching movies.
