🍻 It’s our last ‘night out’ in Tokyo, as Tuesday’s flight is at 0930am and we still need to pack. Summoning the energy for one last hurrah in Shinjuku Ni-Chome, but it’s safe to assume I won’t be sharing any more 4am photos. First stop: Eagle Tokyo, my number one favourite bar in Japan 🏳️🌈

I’ve previously explained that ‘coming out’ isn’t so much an event as an ongoing process. Every official who wants to know the details of your next of kin. Every form looking for your marital status. Every stranger at a party who asks about my ‘wife’.

I’m actually feeling surprisingly fine. Didn’t stay up too late, didn’t have too many beers, had a good dinner and rehydrated before bed. All that aside, I’m taking it very easy today.

Well, marching in the London Pride parade yesterday was an absolute blast. The group I walked with from LGBT Humanists were lovely, the crowds were amazing, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen so many smiles in one place. Running up and down the street, high-fiving spectators while holding …🏳️🌈 I’m going to need a lot more coffee before I’m in full London Pride mode. But once I am, I’ll be unstoppable… 🤣

Almost certainly sitting in the square outside Parrot’s Bar, definitely enjoying the people watching. And the warmer temperatures. It’s a veritable home away from home and will eventually be my actual home. If all current plans work out.
