✈️ I’m flying up to Scotland in a few hours, to spend the weekend with my mum. So I’ll be grappling with both British Airways and Scotrail in order to get there. Thoughts and prayers etc.
Family
Working through my Christmas admin, checking shopping lists, writing cards, wrapping gifts. I’m absolutely lousy at wrapping, so I keep reminding friends and family that it’s the thought that counts. Yes, your gift looks like a suspect package in a railway station, but it was wrapped with love.
🍺 Happy Friday! Relaxing on the couch with some Star Trek (re-watching ST: Discovery) and a delicious glass of Spanish beer. Awaiting arrival of two Dutch nieces and my sister-in-law and the beginning of what I’m sure is going to be a very busy (and noisy) weekend.

I’ve remembered to write up my weekly note, even if the week isn’t strictly speaking over. This week was mostly about travel, work and fun, with a big helping of delicious food. 👉🏻 Read on here📸 I took this shot of the Canary Wharf skyline from my mum’s hotel room, a little after 6pm yesterday. I couldn’t get over how amazing the sky looked at that time of day. We enjoyed watching the sunset, then headed to the executive lounge for quite a few glasses of bubbles 🥂
🐈 Still in Scotland and just back from the vet with my Mum’s cat. Thankfully he’s been given a clean bill of health after a few worrying days. Vet thinks he just ate something that disagreed with him.
Having a very lazing, relaxing morning here in Fife. I might go for a walk while it’s dry. Then it’s time for a roast dinner, followed by taking my mum to the cinema to see Alien: Romulus.
I’m sure we’ll all sleep soundly tonight!

Good morning from a very wet and cold Edinburgh.
I’m on the train heading out to Dunfermline to stay with my mum for the weekend and catch up with my sister and her family.
Enjoyed a really nice evening with a fellow psychologist in Edinburgh last night. The Guinness was epic, though I’m feeling it this morning! 🤣
Celebrating 11 years since my civil partnership to this wonderful guy.

Managed to get some nice family photos at last night’s birthday dinner for my mum.
It’s so rare we’re all in the same place (and all in the mood for photos!). Some lovely memories created, food consumed and many, many laughs had.
