iOS17? Not just yet.

So it looks like the public betas of the new Apple operating systems are now available.

And while I’m super interested in seeing what’s new in iOS17, iPadOS17 and watchOS17 in particular - I’m not really prepared to take a gamble with my core devices.

Especially as I’m about to go on holidays to Scotland for the next few days. There’s no way I’d want to be without a fully functioning iPhone when navigating an airport! Boarding pass aside, I use my iPhone for entertainment, keeping up to date on (inevitable) delays, and hopping on the tram at the other end of my journey.

In fact, I’m not even sure I’ll install any version of the betas this summer. It’s basically only a few weeks until September, when the finished product will be released. That’s time enough to update all my devices and see what Apple has been cooking.

That doesn’t mean I won’t continue to voraciously inhale every single tech story that shares hands-on details of these betas.

I’m not a saint!
