First was the early bedtime yesterday, followed by the early alarm. I’ve spent over a week going to bed at 2am or later, then getting up whenever I felt like it. As a result, I feel like I’m jet-lagged! Definitely mentally slower, even though I had a great sleep.
Next, the need to focus on my screen in the office and decipher the many, many emails awaiting my return.
Finally, the weird absence of a pool or a bar in my immediate environment.
I’m not sure how long it’ll take me to adapt and get back into the swing of things, but I’m just grateful past me didn’t schedule any client facing work for present me today and I can just slide into working life slowly and carefully.
