London Life

Getting the last of the sunshine

Today was a beautiful, sunny day and I ended up breaking my walk with a seat in the sun on Westferry Circus. A great place to sit and watch the world go by.

And work on my tan.

I had planned a lovely few hours in the gardens of our apartment building, but like something from a sitcom, an error with the sprinklers system saw them coming on at 2pm, not 2am. Cue a very wet and muddy garden.

Still keen to get some sun, I got dressed and headed out for a walk.

It seems like the run of incredibly hot weather is over and London is going to get rain for the weekend. Typical. Mind you, if every day was like this, I’m not sure I’d appreciate the good weather when it arrives.

So I’m heading out for beers with a buddy in West India Quay to enjoy the last few dry and summer-like moments of the week. Ad bracing myself for an onslaught of wind and rain.
