I’ve just been reminded by my photos app that this day two years ago, I was sunning myself in luxury in Bangkok.
A quick flick through my album and all the memories flooded back. It was my first visit to Thailand and I’d love to go back. Bangkok is big, crowded and potentially very overwhelming. But it’s also incredibly friendly and there’s just so much to see and do.
I packed in quite a bit in just a few days – we combined the visit with a few days in Singapore. It obviously wasn’t enough and I’d very much like to get back to Thailand to explore outside of Bangkok.
The photo above is of the pool at the Bangkok Hilton, which provides both some lovely shade and respite from the sun, but also superb views over the city. We spent several lovely hours there, enjoying Thai beers and chatting to other guests. This was in stark contrast to the punishing days spent wandering the city checking out the sights.
Just one more place to re-visit once the world gets over this pandemic.
Terrific photography! Thanks for publishing! 🙂 Naked hugs!
