One of my favourite apps – installed on all my Apple devices – is ToDoist. In my opinion, it’s the very best task management app out there and is regularly updated to add really useful functionality.
Recently, it added the ability to organise tasks in a board, rather than a list. Think Trello or Kanban. A huge boost to my own productivity right there.
And just the other day, it added the ability to sort your tasks in a way that works for you: priority, due date, task name or assignee. You can basically organise your view to make it work for you and that’s something every task management app should do.
I now have my ‘Today’ view set up by priority, to keep things simply. My most important tasks are therefore at the top of the list, regardless of when in the day I want to be reminded of them. Then the second most important tasks, and so on. It’s all about bringing clarity to a busy day.
I’ve occasionally strayed from ToDoist, but I always come back. Whether it’s pinging on my Apple Watch, reminding me from my iPhone or bringing clarity to complex projects on the screen of my iMac, it’s never far from my view. How it should be.
It’s one of the simplest, yet most powerful task management apps out there and the design on each of the Apple platforms is second to none.
Can you tell I’m a fan yet?
If you’re looking for an accessible but powerful tool to gather your tasks and help you avoid dropping the ball on what’s important to you in life. Whether it’s groceries or annual goals, ToDoist can help. Give it a go!
