So my new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro arrived this morning and I’ve had a couple of hours to put it through its paces.
Yes, yes, yes…I wasn’t going to get one. But then TheFrankFlyer found me a deal taking almost £120 off the asking price. It felt too good to be true, so I pounced.
A few hours in and I’m loving it. The main thing that strikes me is that it’s so solid. It’s really, really well made and feels like a quality accessory. And at this price, it should be.
The typing experience is magnificent and the trackpad is great. I’ve been using a mouse with my iPad Pro for the last few weeks and, while it’s handy, I still prefer a trackpad.
I’ll write a fuller review once I’ve spent more time with it. But so far, so good. It’s definitely not a ‘must have’ for the iPad Pro and there are definitely cheaper ways to get a keyboard for your iPad. But my first impressions are overwhelmingly positive.
