So my new Magic Keyboard for the iPad Pro arrived this morning and I’ve had a couple of hours to put it through its paces.
Yes, yes, yes…I wasn’t going to get one. But then TheFrankFlyer found me a deal taking almost £120 off the asking price. It felt too good to be true, so I pounced.
A few hours in and I’m loving it. The main thing that strikes me is that it’s so solid. It’s really, really well made and feels like a quality accessory. And at this price, it should be.
The typing experience is magnificent and the trackpad is great. I’ve been using a mouse with my iPad Pro for the last few weeks and, while it’s handy, I still prefer a trackpad.
I’ll write a fuller review once I’ve spent more time with it. But so far, so good. It’s definitely not a ‘must have’ for the iPad Pro and there are definitely cheaper ways to get a keyboard for your iPad. But my first impressions are overwhelmingly positive.
Ah! You finally went for it! It’s going to be part of my 2021 tech refresh!

I couldn’t say no with such a discount available! But I was also pretty sure I’d return it if it wasn’t up to scratch. Keyboards are very personal preferences though, so I’m not sure it’s going to be for everyone. Even putting the price to one side!
